White Heron or Great Egret?

Based on an Arizona-birds book my wife has, it probably is an American Egret. Thx.

A couple quickies taken in an office complex near my lunch restaurant.. Both shot with the 5DSR and Tamron 35-150/2.8-4/VC.
'A Ninetet of Palmtrees' and 'Ripples'.

BTW my sig. should read '18mm Milvus;.

Some geese I found in a golfcourse.. I liked the contrast and the warmly colored earth.

A couple more.. The first is a pile of gray gravel my friend and I have been shooting for maybe 15 years.. Seems now it's being eliminated...boo hoo.. Did I mention that this area is immediately north and east of Sky Harbor Airport?

Sure am enjoying my old/new 5DSR and inexpensive Tamron 35-150/2.8-4/VC.

Nice! I know exactly what it's like to have a favorite haunt that you repeatedly photograph over a long time. Here in Silicon Valley, there is a nearby fountain I photograph the same way you describe ... must be 30 years now

During the early morning sunrise a swam approached from the mist, and promptly stopped in the water in front of me and nature displayed its thoughts to us.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Lovely composition and lighting but, on my monitor at least, the image looks quite noisy. Was it a heavy crop? I understand the 5DS/R images can be cropped pretty ruthlessly (and why I was interested in buying one), so I'm surprised to see this. Maybe it's my monitor?

Many thanks indeed Spencerphoto. It is heavily downsized as I have found many uploads reject a 5DSr file size!! My full size image is nice and clean, and is going to print :-)
