FWIW, I sold my 5DSR this spring--the entire system was just too heavy--to another Canonite friend who had never owned one.. He has a 5D4 and is amazed and pleased with the 5DSR.

I'm jumping in here to ask if the 5ds is worth adding to the bag. The reason I'm asking is our local shop has them on sale. I have a 5d4 and 6d already and don't really need another body but at almost $2000 off the list (Canadian) it is very tempting. I shot mostly landscapes and a bit of portraiture.

Which store is that and in which city?

Sort of stumbled into this bird in a sort-of-wetland/riparian area in Phoenix.. All these shot with my 5DSR and Tamron 35-150/2.8-4/VC this afternoon during absolutely gorgeous nonsummer weather in Phoenix.. The first was shot thru my windshield.. Anyone know what this bird is?

Nice. I have that lens too. Now you are making want a 5DSR. They are so cheap on gray market now it's ridiculous.

I just don't know if I want to handle the large files. The 5DIV files are big enough!

I purchased my gray market 5DSR on eBay for about $1800. Now they’re around $1400. As for file size, yes they are large at 50.3 mpx. Older systems will struggle. I upgraded about 2 years ago and my computer handles the large files very well. So that’s something to consider.

Mine can handle them but still...

You can get these gray from online dealers for just under 1400 US. Amazing price. Very tempting. Even though I really don't need one :)

I do have some lenses that would work well with it though. What is the AF like?
