I thought about it but decided to hold off until all of the bugs get worked out. Mostly the overheating issues. I know they’re better but still overheating and locking up when least expected.

I expect the 2015 5Ds R 50MP replacement to have 102MP full frame image sensor to match up with

- FUJIFILM GFX100S
- FUJIFILM GFX100
- Hasselblad H6D-100c

ISO is likely to match the 5Ds R.

The 5Ds R was originally conceived as the cheapest camera to produce a native 50MP image to comply with client requirements. L lenses are relatively cheap as compared to medium format glass.

Memory card will hopefully be CFexpress type B

It would be priced between $3.9k to $6k.

Not the R5, but the high resolution version of the R5. The 5DS-R has served me well over the years, and I look forward to taking the next step in terms of resolution.
