I haven't seen Mom (or Dad for that matter) in a long time, but at least the Red Fox kits are still hanging around.

1. This one apparently learned well from Mom that sunflower meats were a good protein supplement.

2. Although some fine detail is lost in the closer crop, I find the facial expressions priceless.

5. I've tried "stakeouts" with no success. My best portraits come from sneaking up on them when I see they're present.

I know I'll probably never get the opportunity to capture scenes like Jeff and Ian, but I've enjoyed the challenge of getting these captures. It's also still heartwarming to have them around, although I know they won't be around forever. Thanks for stopping by.

Love them, Steve, aren't the expressions and curiosity of the kits great to watch? You've captured them perfectly. "My" foxes don't mind company, as long as I approach slowly, then sit down and don't make any sudden moves. If I do that and if Mom says it's OK, they'll come out and literally run circles around me. But it looks like you've found a great spot there too! That's half the battle.

They're definitely adorable Ian, as I learned long ago through your and Jeff's threads. I appreciate your comments and can only dream of having a situation as photo-friendly as yours. These are still wild and that's what's needed in "suburbia", but it is nice to be able to step out the backdoor and occasionally manage a gem of a capture. Several of my neighbors have been quite taken by this story and thoroughly enjoyed my "pictorial". That and your kind words are enough for me my friend.

Yeah, but you have bears at your feeder Jeff!
It is neat to have them so close to home, but I wish they'd be more tolerant of me sometimes. Probably for the best they're not though.

Thanks Jeremy, that last photo is my favorite so far too.
I'm keeping an eye out for my opportunities; just hope there's more.

There have been additional sightings by others Sheron, but no photo ops for me in a while. Sightings suggest all is well and I appreciate you taking the time to leave your thoughts.

You're right Dan they are neat to have around, especially if rodent control is in order (which it is here). I appreciate your comment.

It's OK Yanis, wild bunnies bring other critters so be on the lookout! ;-)a
Thanks for the humorous comment too.
