Since DSLRController doesn't seem to work on my S5 since upgrading to Lolipop, I'm using EOS Remote.

AFAIK, DSLR Controller supports all the recent Canon DSLR's via USB. But phone/tablet compatibility is more problematic.

I'm currently trading both the Samsung Tab A 8 and Acer Iconia Tab 8, and DSLR Controller seems to work with both.

What camera models do you want to use it with? Also note that the developer offers a free, limited app "Remote Release" that you can download to see if your camera (and phone) are supported, and if you buy the full version then find it doesn't do everything you need you can request a refund through their website.

Quite frankly I'm disappointed with the support for this app. The developer seems to have moved on to other things and isn't active in his official thread for quite some time (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1202082 (external link)).

it doesn't support my OnePlusOne (Cyanogen); I bought the app and realized it doesn't work, emailed the app developer to get my money back and boo, not a word from them.
So doesn anyone know what app will work on mY 6d, 5d3 and OnePlusOne?

Maybe someone else will post up but I haven't tried with a 30D. I have successfully used it with a 60D, 70D and T2i and think if the T2i works the 30D should. Again, you can download Chainfire's Remote Release from the Play Store for free to test compatibility.

You can request a refund through their website. See: http://dslrcontroller.com/faq.php#refund (external link).

Unfortunately, it appears that Chainfire is focused on other projects now and is not actively maintaining DSLR Controller. Their official support forum is located on XDA-Developers (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1202082) (external link), but they have not posted in that thread in several months. They are active in other threads on XDA, so they haven't gone away entirely. You might want to check out some alternatives such as DSLR Dashboard and the Canon EOS Remote app itself.

I did that because GooglePlay said that I have to do it directly...this much for their integrity...nada!

My sense is that Chainfire is one individual not a company. I don't have any reasons to suspect their integrity. True, it is a bit less convenient than requesting a refund through the Play Store, but I have seen no complaints that refunds weren't eventually provided when requested through their site.

One of the complaints was definitely mine!

My Galaxy s4 was recently upgraded - I don't know the version name though - and DSLR Controller still works.

My question is why EOS Utility only works on WIFI with phones? You can cable in with laptop, why does Canon not make it more universally available on phones? It makes no sense.

Canon 7d MkII, Canon 50D, Pentax 67, Canon 30D, Baker Custom 4x5, Canon EF 24-104mm f4, Canon EF 100mm f2.8 Macro, Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5, 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di VC

I was not aware EOS Utility didn't work over USB. That seems counter-intuitive to me as most Canon cameras do not have built-in WiFi and those that do cannot do WiFi and video at the same time.
