Yes. I do not subscribe to the concept that branches or reeds reduce the value of a shot. To me, the reeds in your shot provide context to the bird in relation to its environment.

The reeds are not excessive nor distracting in your shot. The shot is tack sharp too.

I'd recommend a hint more exposure in post to lighten it up and crop it off center a tad for the rule of thirds.

Thanks Greg, I leave the environment in a lot of my shots for that reason, I left that shot a little dark because it was dark at the time and I shoot a 7d and didn't want to push it much. After closer inspection, it is tack sharp and has room to push, so I will try that. As for comp... I blew it:lol:! Thanks for the feedback, its appreciated!

I did a little more work in Lightroom, I still like the 1st shot better, but let me know what you think. Boosted exposure by a little over 1/2 stop, different cropping which was difficult with original framing.
