Turkey Vulture

Yesterday I came across this Turkey Vulture amid many just south of Gardiner, Oregon near the train trestle....some critter remains may have been nearby. Used the Sigma Contemporary with the 7D2.

Your 1st image is quite a nice portrait of a bird thought by many to be ugly Jim.
I really like the different colorations of the head, neck, and wings you captured there.
The 2nd image almost looks like there's a forest fire going on in the background. Hope not!
