I post these as interest to birders as I think it is an exciting sighting. These were taken from a cabin through a window with the Sandhill Crane about a 1/4 mile offshore. The shots are obviously not intended as super technical and beautiful shots.

First is original shot to show the distance. The second a cropped bird to show the actual bird.

I've seen Great Blue herons do this, but never a Sandhill crane.
