Hi,
Just bought the ColorMunki display calibrator. I let it do its thing - seemed to turn my monitor a decent amount darker than what I was using.

Now, I'm editing a photo in PS, then exported to JPG from Lightroom and it looks MUCH darker than the PS version (using Windows Photo Viewer). And when i upload that JPG to Smugmug, it's in between. Here's a screenshot of my desktop.

Top left is Smugmug (uploaded the exported JPG from Lightroom).
Bottom is exported JPG from Lightroom using Windows Photo Viewer
Right is in Photoshop

Also seemed to add more magenta tint...the original photo had a ton of magenta that I tried to clean up a little in PS.

What's going on here? Any help would be appreciated.

This is because it created a Version 4 profile instead of Version 2. V4 is flaky, and does this.

Go to the Munki's preferences before calibrating, you'll see it there.

That plus a load of other facts that haven't been mentioned but may be relevant- but we won't know until they are mentioned:
What Windows? In XP and Vista WPV was not color managed, in 7 and 8 it is half-assed color managed.
In what browser are you looking atSmugmug? Is it properly color managed?
What color space is the image? What kind of monitor?
When you say PS, do you mean the pixel editor or ACR? What was the source image? Raw or jpg?

I could give a better answer, but I dropped my crystal ball, slippery bugger!

Chrome. Don't know if it's color managed or not. How do I tell?

Exported in sRGB from Lightroom. Monitor is an hp lp2475w IPS panel. It's getting on in years...will be turning 6 this month.

Pixel editor...it's shown in the photo I posted. Source image was raw.

Awesome. I think that's it! Just opened a photo in Windows Photo Viewer and it looks normal. Much appreciated!
