Canon MiniTT1 and FlexTT5 issues

I am wanting to purchase these to use with my 580 EXII and 580EX.

I have read and even Pocket Wizard recommends different mounting solutions or a special "sock" they sell because of "noise". Is this a real issue?

There is no reaon to buy that flawed system when you can purchase more reliable ETTL triggers for a fraction of the price. That system was a major hit to pocket wizards reputation, and they've never quite recovered. Look at the YN 622c and the YN622tx, or simioar products from phottix or cactus.

For the 580II it is advised to use the shielding for the flash so it won't disturb the communication between the PW's.

Is there any reason that you are looking at this solution?

i used to own that system and that issue exists. Then I stopped using the tt1/tt5 with my 580ex2 and just used the tt1/tt5 with a ac3 on my einsteins.

I've since sold them and got the yn-622c's to use with my speedlights, much cheaper option that works a lot better .

Just my experience with these items.
