A friend is in town for the Holiday weekend, and we went out to shoot at Old Car City in North Georgia on Thursday. I had never been and really wanted to go, its the largest known old car junk yard in the country...pretty cool place. While we were there it rained, which was great, because all of the cars were now wet and had a shiny look to them, rather than the dull dusty sheen they had when we were there for the first hour. These are just a few of the digital images I shot, I also shot a roll of 120 film on a Mamiya RB67, waiting to get those back and may add one or two.

Thanks for looking, comments or crits are more than welcome and always appreciated.

This old bus was great, lots of texture and colors.

Thanks. I sent the roll out today...it takes a while to get it back, I hope some of them turned out, I am still a complete rookie with Medium Format.

Thanks. The rain really helped out with that.

yeah, the rain really was a great bonus on the day, looking at the images from before the rain, they just didn't have the same pop. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

Finally got the roll of film back from Old Car City...the scans are so clean...I can't even tell this was ISO 400 film, that grain is there, but it is so much smoother on 120 film than 35mm...I still prefer the Fuji Neopan, I wish they still made that in 400...but I am going to order a box of the 100, I was waiting to see how these turned out and I just like the tones from the Fujipan more.

Great shots from the OP.

I've never been to Old Car City, but it does look fascinating.
Over 4000 cars on 34 acres, and 6 miles of trails.

It's a shame some of these cars are not being restored,
although many look too far gone.

Would like to see more photos from the OP or anyone else.

It is a very cool place. Most of the cars there have been wrecked, some very badly...some it makes you wonder if the occupants survived.

I have not been back since, but might go again later this year.

Probably a great number of them did not.
