NO PP

I wanted to see what an image without sharpening and enhancement would look like here. Whatta ya think?

Jeremy made a great comment/suggestion of adding a second image with PP. The 1st is unedited, the 2nd only slight PP on the blooms of the flower (highlights and sharpening 7%), bg (NR default settings) and sharpening on the bird 7%

Ted ,I keep telling myself I need to get the best image I can off the camera and worry on the pp later,it's a good ethos but for a guy whom should really be exploring what pp can do with a bit more 'erm gusto (enthusiasm) this simply beautiful image ain't helped much. Hey ho onwards and upwards

Actually Ted every now and then one sees an image and it sticks a while.i've been out bumbling about jees almost got a keeper had a good stare at my failings,laughed on being too damn close to the blummin deer and my framing horror,then looked at say one or two hunderd wild life pics, here ( good ones too real good) this one will stay in my head . Ha kiddo, you have a natural vignette around the bird , stunning colour contrast, to die for subject, it is just plain and simply a beautiful image.

Thanks Ted i've had a lot of fun today this corker will round it off nicely. I have less than a humble opinion,but I'll say this it will be a clever man who can improve on this cracker in my eyes

Beautiful image Ted. With no processing needed, it gives you more time to sit and wait for more Hummingbirds!

Now edit it and post it up below he original.
It would be nice to see the difference.

John, I agree, sometimes all the variables (light, bg, shooting angle.....) are in alignment.
