Imagine that you take a picture of a city street and there is a recognizable building in the background. Someone sees the image and wants to use it for a magazine cover and are willing to pay. It sounds like to do so you will have to get the permission from all of the owners of all the buildings to do so. Read the link. Not sure why, but call me JJ.
