If that's the case, Chet, please take over and judge, as you were the original winner, unfortunately you'll have to disqualify your entry..

BTW enjoying all the edits.

Geez Joe, aren't we all winners? This is a heavy burden to lay on one person, but I will try my darnedest to make you proud of your poor choice.

I'm watching this latest hurricane as well. Harvey packed a historic wallop, I don't envy you folks in Florida. Stay safe.

Stay safe and best wishes for you and your family Joe as well as everyone else who might be affected by the impending hurricane.

It's weather like we've seen recently in Texas and now approaching Florida that almost makes me glad I live in California. :-)

From what we are hearing they are calling Irma a super hurricane and has the potential to become one of the worse hurricanes in history. Hope you all stay safe and don't have too much damage. Praying that it turns before hitting land so the damage is minimal.

Sunday morning a big wind (Major Hurricane) is forecast to not miss Florida. Hope people can prepare for that.

This is harder than it looks. I enjoined all of the edits this week, well done folks. This weeks winner is cfdesigns, as I appreciate the work that went into converting the season to fall. Well done. Congratulations you are this weeks winner.

As for Joe, stay safe my friend, you and your family are in our thoughts.

Thank you Chet!

Before and After - The Weekly Editing Challenge
...now compiled into a single, easy to locate thread, that can be added to your subscribe/follow list!

Rules are simple:

  • Download the image file from the current week

  • Contestants will have 7 days to edit the image and post their edited version to the thread (1 entry per week)

  • The owner of the original image will choose a winner

  • The winner will copy & paste this post and include a new downloadable image link

The new image must be unedited / SOOC (straight our of camera), full-resolution, and in a RAW format, ie. CR2, DNG, TIF, etc (Dropbox works well for uploading and linking these large files) The purpose of this game is to be creative and learn new editing techniques. You must give some insight into exactly how you went about editing the image. For example, increased shadows sliders, reduced highlights, local sharpening, white balance adjustment, specific filters used, tone curve adjustments, etc. Comments and/or questions regarding the edits are encouraged.

Shot this the other day, early morning during the harvest moon and I was half asleep. Good luck everyone, hope this image is okay because I have not yet edited it. https://www.dropbox.com …ldr0pdr/_MG_0054.CR2?dl=0 (external link)

Beautiful scene. DXO 8.8 adjusted contrast, shadows, highlights, added slight sharpening and NR, applied lens corrections.
