It's snowed at the high points in the park almost all day today and rained in the others. That should definitely help the fire situation.

A few days of rain, some snow and cooler weather have improved things. The South Entrance is open again and the fire restrictions have been lifted. The air is nice and clear again too.

.

That snow and rain can also make for some great wildlife photography. Any time you can get a lot of stuff in the air you have unique opportunities for special imagery. Hopefully the conditions hold for you.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Just got back and the fires were totally out by the time I got there. No problems at all. And I got some quality time with a great grey owl and a very pretty fox!

Got back from my Yellowstone / GT trip yesterday. Had a great time and managed varying qualities of photos of quite a few species. Highlights were probably moose and an evening with a family of beavers.

Damn, I wish I had found some beavers! Where did you get them? Teton?
