It's been over a year since I last posted here. I have some down time now since it's the off season here in Florida, so I have time to post some pics. Here are some Prairie Falcon images from my Wild Birds of Prey workshop last June. The images were made using Canon 1DX & 600mm+1.4xTC hand held with manual exposure mode. I hope you like them. Thanks for looking.

These a really nice. You've caught several unusual views. They almost look oversharpened to me but I don't see the normal "crunchy" look - just the very sharp boundary areas (particularly with wings and sky) that almost unnatural. Is it perhaps the very long lens exaggerating the boundary lines? Maybe it's just your 1Dx as opposed to my 7DII. Anyway, it is an impressive series.

Really spectacular shots. That combo works well, in the hands of someone who knows how to use it.

All of the bgs in these images are extrememly distant. The birds are sharply in focus and the bgs are completely out of focus. The only image with a sky bg is the high key bg image.
