Canon 50mm 1.2L II?

I am curious to see how both the 50L market AND user base responds if a replacement is announced. How many will instantly jump ship to the newer version? Will the current version become a niche lens relegated to the back waters of the lens sample archive forum?

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't jump ship to a Mark II 50L if Canon released one in the next few years. I love mine and it has a unique look in my opinion (along with the 85L). If a Mark II was released and it was super sharp and free of all the aberrations it'd be too clinical and lose that character I like so much in the 50L.
