beautiful shot. The only thing I don't like is that light box or whatever it is that is sticking out from the wall in front of her at head level. it's distracting to me and throws the lines off of the railing.

I shoot a little black box with a round thingy ma-giggy in the front.

Hello,
I have one coming my way this week!
What tripod mount should I be using, a gimble head?
I only have ball heads right now...

The ball head should work fine... As long as it can hold the load weight, you're good to go... If you start shooting sports or wildlife, then I'd invest on a gimble unit of some sort... I personally use a Wimberley Sidekick mount when shooting sports (surfing)...

:D

PS. Welcome to the club and congrats on the new glass!!! You'll LOVE IT!!!

My monster has arrived!

Now, what accessories, etc. do I need?
I bought a used Wimberely plate and a used side kick.
I will have to wait until sometime later for a mega tripod, any recommendations?
My current best tripod is an old Slik 700 DX, I use it successfully w/ my 100-400L, and my 4x5 Sinar f2 film monster, even with mega length bellows, and heavy petzval lenses.

Is the manual online?
I will have to look.

I hope to get some limited play/test time in later this PM.
DEFINITE workout this weekend!
Too excited to think straight...

Hmm, the manual is no longer available online.
Anyone have an electronic copy?

Sugoi!
This thing IS heavy!
Much more so than my humble 100-400L
I was shooting handheld tonight.
But, I see that I wont be doing the handhold thing much.

hmmm...thinking to gat a tele converter for spotrs use (pro drift, rally, maybe hockey), but dont`t know 1.4x or 2x, more looking towards 1.4x. The question is: which brand you are using and why +/- (know airbutchie using KENKO Pro 300 DG). And if I understand right, there is les quality loss than AF speed loss.

Are the drop in filters still available for these?
Luckily, mine came with the empty gelatin filter holder.
What I would want is a CPL and NDs.

^ They are, Buggz... 48mm drop-in's... Check eBay... That's where I got my CPL for under $125, if I recall correctly... Fantastic condition, too...

:D

PS. Perfect timing on the 'gallop', Buttkicker!!! Well done, good sir..
