For us amateurs who shoot only jpg, these SD's and USB's present an alternative to portable HD's. I have only 17,000 pics, and can simply carry them all in my pocket or on a keychain.

Along with a cheap OTG cable, I can select pics from my entire library to show on my phone anywhere I go.
