Any standard version adapter would be fine as long as it is built reasonably well. Take a trip down to your local camera store (the better ones, not the shopping mall variety) and pick one up. The price should be about $10 US.

Call Ritz and see what they have. There's nothing magic about the adapter. If they don't understand "hotshoe-to-PC", then give up on them.

Here are a couple of links to adapters at B&H that should work fine:

I much prefer the AlienBees lights over other lower-priced units. Their functionality is all I could ask for and their build quality is quite good. I am an electronics tech with lots of experience, and have taken one of mine apart for inspection. I was impressed with the quality of their internal construction.

I attach my AB800 to it and it works perfectly! Couldn't ask for a better one.

sorry about hijacking the thread, are there any of these adapters that retains the hotshoe functionality of the camera? seems like the shoe on top is usually cold/no signal.

None of them will carry all the signals from the Canon hotshoe through. You wouldn't want them to anyhow, in my opinion.

You just can not properly mix a Speedlite (when in automatic exposure mode) with studio flash units. Having all the connections pass through the hotshoe-PC adapter would have only one purpose, and that is to use the Speedlite in auto exposure mode.
