Forgive me if this is in the wrong forum -

I was at a Motocross Track this weekend doing some shooting of a buddy of mine and I also got quite a few great shots of some other riders. I put an album up on my Facebook page and I got an email through my Website from someone asking if they could have access to the high res files of a few images and or if they were for sale.

Does anyone know what the legality is regarding something like this ? My first thought is because I didn't have any riders sign release forms I'm not able to sell but I don't know for sure.

Anyone ?

Thanks !

You don't need a model release in this circumstance.
You would if the subject was being used to advertise/endorse a product.

You don't mention if you were shooting from a public area or if you had a photography credential for the event.
It's an important distinction because if you were there with a credential you probably fall under the "editorial use only" terms of the organizers. Unless you purchase the rights from the series you may be skating on thin ice selling your work.

who gives a rat crap how much gear you can list?

It was a Motocross Track that is privately owned, just a normal day there, no credentials.
