Program to add date stamp to image

I recently purchased an A610, and apparently it will not date stamp the picture in anything other than postcard mode. Are there any good programs out there, free would be great, to read the date out of the file, and stamp it onto the image before we upload to www.winkflash.com to be developed. I am aware that ZoomBrowser can do this when you print a picture, but I can't find a way to have it save a dated jpg.
