Only half a day off this week, I still had to shoot something.

I would love to hear about the 80-200 f2.8 focusing results. That is a key lens for me.

It looks like the A72/Canon lens combo is as advertised. Wow!

Well said Carlo. I agree.

Fortunately (for me who doesn't have an a7R II) better DXO scores don't necessarily translate to better pictures and even though my 5DS R doesn't measure up I am still really excited about what I can do with it. These are amazing times - awesome FF sensors avaialble in cameras from Canon, Nikon, and Sony.

The most surprising and delighting measurement in the DXO measurements is that great color sensitivity result for the a7R II. Most impressive.

Enjoy your superior camera!! :p

i thought u are getting an a7r2?!!!!!

Some beautiful landscape shots with the Sony 90 macro in his review. So sharp!

keep in mind I just took these and it's the worst time of the day. I used the Metabones IV adapter and the lens focuses very fast. The first image is just pointing down the street at 24mm and the 2nd image is at 105mm. I think that one will show you how well the lens and camera work together. I had to reduce the size of the insert or it wouldn't even fit in the 1280px frame.

Another portrait using the FE 90 macro lens.

I really need to find someone else willing to pose for me!

First shoot today with the A7R II and Canon 24-70. I may just sell everything else I own except for the 70-200 f/2.8 and call my kit complete. I'm in love with this setup.

Completely agree.
Just got married - hired a really good pro but also gave my brother in law the A7RII with the Canon 24-70 set at Auto ISO, Aperture Priority with 1/120th min SS and F4 and the pictures are very very good. He did not follow us on our personal shoot but stayed with the reception guests and took nearly 1000 shots in completely silent mode and I'm very happy to have them.

Hockey and wedding photographer. Favourite camera / lens combos: a 1DX II with a Tamron 45 1.8 VC, an A7Rii with a Canon 24-70F2.8L II, and a 5DSR with a Tamron 85 1.8 VC. Every lens I own I strongly recommend [Canon (35Lii, 100L Macro, 24-70F2.8ii, 70-200F2.8ii, 100-400Lii), Tamron (45 1.8, 85 1.8), Sigma 24-105]. If there are better lenses out there let me know because I haven't found them.

Thanks for the photos navydoc.

Good to know the lens focuses well with the Metabones IV adapter.
