Sony A7R II impression and images

I like the lighter weight and love IBIS for my EF 16-35 f/2.8L II and EF 24-70 f/2.8L II. The low light capability is great. As I gain more experience with the body, I'm finding it easier to operate, but the ergonomics for my big hands continue to be a challenge.

I wish it had a joystick. (I dislike turn and click control wheels.) The balance of my issues with the A7RII are minor niggles, some of which may very well disappear as I grow more comfortable with it. Time will tell.

Overall I think its a keeper, but then so are my Canon bodies.

YES to the joystick. That would instantly make things so much better.

Hi alli managed to take a shot of last nights luner eclipse.

it is the first time i done it.

taken using a Sony A7R mk2 with a canon 70-200 f2.8 attached with a 1.4xTeleconverter

Such a wonderful character ; young girl dancing in a gypsy village, near Mandawa, Rajasthan. The whole camp were so amazing and tolerant of being photographed. The kids thought it was a real hoot.

what lens?

Hockey and wedding photographer. Favourite camera / lens combos: a 1DX II with a Tamron 45 1.8 VC, an A7Rii with a Canon 24-70F2.8L II, and a 5DSR with a Tamron 85 1.8 VC. Every lens I own I strongly recommend [Canon (35Lii, 100L Macro, 24-70F2.8ii, 70-200F2.8ii, 100-400Lii), Tamron (45 1.8, 85 1.8), Sigma 24-105]. If there are better lenses out there let me know because I haven't found them.

Lovely photo but I find it hard to be negative in any way with the way the subjects look in many of your photos!
If I was asexual, it would be much easier
