I've considered a YN-622c setup. The only problem with that is: the Canon system (it is not IR, it is visible light from the flash head) has never let me down. Caveat: I only use in indoors. I imagine is sucks terribly in daylight at more than about 30 feet.

ive tried over 10 memory cards including a brand new one. For a few days the only I could even "reset" the memory card slot was putting the last functioning card in and quickly reviewing the photos, then removing and replacing with another card. Very frustrating, did some research turns out this is a very well known problem with the 60D

I must be quite lucky. My 60D is over 4 years old, has 20,000+ shots on it, and I take the card out every time to transfer photos to the computer. No problems yet. This is the first I've ever heard of this problem. Is it camera or cards? Can you post a reference link?

There's tons of info on the 60 "no memory card" error.. I bought the camera on the forum here and maybe 3 weeks later the spring broke that holds the card in place. It has continued to work but im sure that didn't help. I made it a solid year but now I am too reliant on my camera to take the risk. I loved it though, and wish the articulating screen was on the 6d and above but it has been by far my favorite camera

Thanks. I Googled "60D memory card error" and got tons of stuff. I have some reading to do.

EDIT:

Every online resource that actually solved this problem did so by forcefully blowing into the 60D's card slot. Some used compressed air. Have you tried blowing really hard into the card slot? No, I'm not kidding.

Yes I tried the blowing technique as well, but I like I said it doesn't help that my memory card door is the holding thing keeping it in place.

FF 7D2 = 5D3 (ish)

I shoot the two side by side and find them virtually interchangeable from a control and performance stand point.

Needless to say when shooting both side by side, I have the longer lenses on the 7D2, and the wides on the 5D3.
Before the 7D2 was out, I would use just the 5D3, or pair with a 1D when shooting long lenses.

If I shoot one camera, it is again one of this pair, and decide which depending on lenses and lighting.

ie: The 7D2 is a great and affordable camera, If you lust after it's features but want FF then go for the 5D3.

Replace "60D" with any other canon model and the same amount of links come up.
