Thank you, stetzam, Levina, and joayne, as well as anyone else who had nice thoughts whether or not you expressed them.

Barbara and John--I wish I were there in your outdoor settings!

Lacking dollhouse furniture, I made a small chair of newspaper.

Now that is the cutest chair I ever did see. I'm in awe of just about everything here, OhLook (idea, chair building qualities, composition, set-up, everything).

Thank you, Levina, joayne, and Mark. (Also Tim.) The chair was quite flimsy but could be posed, with care.

OhLook: Flimsy or not, it's creative. My first thought when I saw it was that you must have been a kindergarten teacher in a previous life :-D

Thanks again. No, I just always liked making things, at kindergarten age and ever after.

newspaper chair is awesome, Oh!

was out goofing off the other night and came across this guy trying to make a buck or ten. I was just talking, not taking pics, and he asked if my camera had video so i shot song or two (I'm not much of a video guy). I am so much in the habit of pressing the shutter I took this inadvertently instead of starting the video.

not much too look at but i kinda like the framing, and the fact that his chair is an old samsonite suitcase. He had a bass drum pedal turned backward hitting the suitcase for the bass, and some kind of rig with a tambourine hitting something with his other foot. pretty good show for a one man busker.

Everybody is posting shots that each in their own way are wonderful! Creativity is flowing this week. And stetzam, I want to go there!!

I tried to shoot some chairs that are made from concrete on a small square nearby, but failed at making it look attractive. Then a friend posted a shot and that gave me an idea and I made a kind of still life I suppose. Used light painting to light the scene. Putting together a scene is an art all of itself, by the way, and I'm no OhLook, but I still like the result. I just wish I hadn't put the shoe on the chair!

Hey, count your blessings!

Your scene comes off as very feminine. The shoe and the dress or robe contribute to that impression, of course, and I think the red does, too.

Very nice Levina. It communicates a cozy feeling. You're right about the shoe, I'd prefer a different angle but this does not matter much. The light is also great, how did you do it?

Thanks, Mark, OhLook and stetzam.

Funny thing is that the image I had in mind could use that shoe on the chair. But the way the image turned out was very different and the shoe a bad idea. Maybe I will re-shoot it, but it's very early in the morning here and this is light painting so I will need to wait until tonight.

@stetzam: I used a simple flash light for the light painting. For the settings see the exif above the picture. As to the light painting itself, that's a bit trial and error but I've done it before and know a little bit how to get the effect I want. It's an interesting technique that, if done right, can really nicely light a scene.
