Canon G-12 RAWs not fully recognized by DPP4 now that I have 70D

I have a Canon 70D and G12. My current version of DPP is 4.2.10.0. This version works perfectly fine with images take from my 70D. However, I am having trouble with images taken with my G12.

When I take RAWs (I only take RAWs) with my G12, they are .CR2 and when I open them up in DPP 4, they are NOT editable and are only view-able at small thumb nail sized images. If I attempt a convert and save, I get an error indicating that "Could not save. Unsupported image."

I didn't always have this problem that I know of, so I am unsure of what my options are to get these in editable format and so I can convert them to .JPG

Do I need to use an older version of DPP? Can I have 2 versions installed without any issues?

I remembered there was a whole thread on DPP compatibility problems a while back, and a search found this:

You probably need an older version for your G12 and if I were you I'd try installing both.

Under the software site for the 70D it clearly states DPP 4.2.32 (6/1/2015) only supports EOS 5DS, EOS 5DS R, EOS 8000D / EOS REBEL T6s / EOS 760D, EOS Kiss X8i / EOS REBEL T6i / EOS 750D, EOS-1D C, EOS-1D X, EOS-1D Mark IV, EOS 5D Mark III, EOS 6D, EOS 7D Mark II, EOS 70D, EOS 7D, EOS 5D Mark II, EOS Kiss X7i / EOS REBEL T5i / EOS 700D, EOS Kiss X7 / EOS REBEL SL1 / EOS 100D, EOS M3.

No "G" series PowerShots are listed.
