DSLR Speed Challenge #381 - Food (what’s on your table)

Let's see your favorite photos of your interpretation of 'Food (what’s on your table)'

This challenge begins when posted, and will end at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time Wednesday July 24, 2015

Winner of this challenge will be announced shortly thereafter.

Standard Rules apply for Photo Submissions:

1. Camera: Any DSLR Camera
2. Time: Any on-topic photo taken at any time is eligible, although photos that have won other competitions should NOT be entered.
3. Size: Please visit Image Posting Rules.
4. Post Processing: Do whatever you like and the host will decide if it works.
5. Posting: ONE PHOTO per photographer in each challenge. Camera model & lens used. Post brief EXIF data including ISO, shutter speed and aperture used.
6. Commenting: No commenting during challenge. When the posting is closed and a winner has been declared, comme nts can be made in this thread.
7. Keep it clean, and both Family and Work safe.
8. Have questions, PM me.
9. Have FUN!

One challenge every week, on the following schedule: * New Topic - After winner is declared. * Posting Starts - Right after topic is announced. * Posting Ends - 9:00 p.m. Eastern time Friday July 24, 2015. * Winner from this competition decides the theme of the next one (and judges it for a winner) after this competition is closed.

Good question! I guess you'd have to ask bryzf1 to wake up and do his duty. Or maybe voaky999 should just start a new challenge since he was the winner of this one by default.

well, if there is only one post, obviously there wasn't much interest to start with. But I would still ask bryzf1 and perhaps the thread could be revived

Maybe not much interest in this particular challenge (many people are, like myself, not into food shots) but there have been 381 of these challenges so it's not exactly a dead idea.

IMHO it could be improved and revived by making the challenges open to ALL digital cameras, from P&S to DSLR, any make, with almost the same rules, and notifying people on the G-series weekly challenge (which often gets few entries) and the P&S challenge that a new competition is now open to ALL. Name it the "ALL CAMERA WEEKLY SPEED CHALLENGE", with close-off day every Monday at noon GMT just like the successful G-series challenges.

I'm going to PM Voaky and suggest he starts it.
