Green Heron showed up as I waited on Kingfishers. The Kingfishers continue to be missing, should have finished their fledging by now.

That is a gorgeous photo, Steve. They are quite rare in our neck of the woods, but a couple years ago, one flew down my channel right past me......and kept going!

Al, they're common here. I routinely see them, sometimes multiple birds in one spot.

Very, very nice.

I was able to get close to two pairs of green herons earlier this spring.... and their chicks. It was so fun. We don't have them here locally but we were down in the Sarasota, FL area (Siesta Key) and they were using the pond/fountain in front of the condo complex where we were staying as a rookery.

Again, stellar photograph.
