I had someone tell me that the Sony RAW files are not a true lossless RAW and are converted to 14 bit instead of a 16 bit file. Is this true?

Jul 22, 2015 20:53 | #4 Sony Imaging execs have discussed this and hear the complaints and are looking into providing a firmware update that will provide uncompressed RAWs. Who know when/if this will happen, but I would assume it would be applied to the a7ii, a7Rii and possibly the A7s and A7R time will tell.
