I'm learning how to shoot macro. After taking a few shots at my neighbor's garden, I left because of the high temps and humidity. A short time later, my neighbor brought over what he happened to find. I liked the shot of him holding it as it shows the mantis' size better.

Shot using my Sony a7r +FE 90mm F2.8 Macro G OSS lens. I used a 580EXII flash mounted on camera in manual mode with a diffuser.

Thanks Moose. Shooting with the 90mm macro lens is sure a lot different than using my 100-400L + 1.4 extender like I did for this mantis:
