A lot of my work is focussed on high end exotics and generally European luxury car. A long time client of mine recently got his car back from a complete rebuild by the folks at Bulletproof Automotive in California. Needless to say I was very excited to see the new build and all the work put into this machine.

fantastic shots and a gorgeous car. i love #7, never seen a shot like that before.

i'm curious, because i'm still figuring things out--on 1 & 2, did you expose for the car or for the background? i can never seem to find the right spot to expose if i'm shooting with the sun as a backlight.

Looks like the 5DS R did well for you here.

Another awesome set!

I usually try to find a balance of the exposure where I dont blow out the sky completely. I then bring down highlights in post. For very contrasty scenes I will do 2 exposures.

Love 7 too, but they are all very good.

Were all these taken in one shoot? Looks like a lot of variety for one session, or was it a long one?

Yup all taken in one session. Was about 4 hours including traveling time which was about an hour.
