Here's the scoop. I have a well loved, working lens. I purchased it here on POTN about 2 years ago and used it quite a bit. I've probably got 100,000 frames easily through the lens with images ending up in a book, on a magazine cover and some of my most popular fine art prints. I used it as recently as last week.
It's far from perfect. Lots of wear on the body, but that's not really important. What IS important is that the tension ring lost its ball bearings (common, supposedly a reasonable fix from Canon). It is missing the two little screws in it. It still locks and unlocks the zoom ring but with only a small abrupt twist instead of the original, long and smooth twist. Also the IS sometimes misbehaves, but it didn't do it enough for me to justify sending it in for repair. There is also a good amount of dust inside which is fixable yourself if you're handy but it's never showed up on my images.
The glass is excellent.
Comes with an aftermarket hood, as well as Canon rear body cap, new style Canon front cap. The RRS foot shown in the pics is not included, sorry. I'd include it for an extra I dunno, $40?
