Niagaraian Faeries of the Tree (external link) by Dean Chiang | Xyclopx (external link)

As I was walking around Niagara Falls (the Canadian side) this large tree caught my eye, just being off to the side surrounded by the grass of the park. I stopped and stared and thought hmm, what a strange tree! I walked up to it, looked, and became mesmerized by its strange presence. Took out my tripod. My gf at that point probably thought, "oh there he goes again," and walked off to leave me with my tree, checking out that those other things normal people come here for, oh you know, those humongous waterfalls.
