In UK adverts, the 5D is listed as being supplied with a "terminal cap for NB2LH battery" - presumably this is a cover that allows one to use an NB2LH (the battery used in the 350d/XT) in place of a BP-511 type. I can see the point of this, as some 5D purchasers will be upgrading from the 350d (me for instance).

Has anyone any experience with using this smaller battery in a 5D?

Does the terminal cap allow charging with the 5D's charger?

I have several NB2LH's, having both a 350d and an S70, but I also have 2 spare BP-511s, from my G2 and 300d.

Thanks
Nigel

My guess is it is a mistake or misprint, and the "termimal cap" is merely the peice of plastic they use to prevent the batt from shorting.. not an adapter at all.

I'd be interested to see where this is listed.

I guess that's right, it must be a misprint. Most of the UK dealers' adverts have "termnal cap for NB-2LH" listed as part of the standard supplied accessories for the 5D.

I thinkit just means the plastic cover for the back of the battery ( the side with the terminals)
