ID Confirmation Please

I suspect this is a Downy Woodpecker but as this is the first time to see this fellow in the backyard I want to be certain. Pretty small; sparrow sized, small bill and spots on the white outside tail feathers. We'd just put out some suet and he was one of the first to visit.

I also found this bird to be not so shy. Later in the day while watering the landscape, he flew to within about eight feet of me. Didn't seemed concerned at all. Maybe he wanted to cool off.

They are rather tame here too. Their cousin, the Hairy woodpecker, is not so tame in my experience. Still trying to get some pictures of them.

I'll be looking for the Hairy WP as well. Trying to photo the Red Bellied Wood Pecker. They are common here but show up when you least expect it and then move on in the blink of an eye.
