I'd like to rent a 6D w/24-105L to compare to my 70D.
Where is the best place for rentals?
Thoughts? Experience?

In my case I rented a Sigma 17-50mm and the entire rental fee was taken off the cost of the later purchase. Essentially the store matched B&H, but I kept my dollars local.

Obviously the equipment is or becomes used, even if you would receive new gear. As a point of interest, I doubt lensrentals can use a Canon warranty which does not cover "commercial service". So repairs come on their dime.

Thoughts? Experience? Lensrentals is doing a summer discount which basically knocks shipping down enough to make it bearable (never forget shipping with rentals!). Probably run you around $100 all after everything. Seems reasonable to me to get 4 days with it to do as you please and put it through the ringer.
