I picked up a pair of these over the weekend, and use them with my new Sony a6000 just fine.

I was curious if anyone knew of compatibility with my old 350d, which my son has been using now. I thought I recalled years ago people being concerned with flash trigger voltages and even though its an older body - don't want to needlessly fry it.

In the meantime, I guess if my son wants to use manual off camera flash, I'll just have him set the Yongnuos' to optical slave and trigger it via pop-up flash or the TTL speedlite I've got for that camera.

Thanks

The 350D was in the first generation of Canon bodies that could take 250V on the hotshoe, not just 6V, like the earlier original dRebel, the 300D. The YN-560IV has a measured sync voltage that's less than 4V, so it should be safe to use even on the first-gen Canon dSLRs.

Heya,

I've used my 560II, 560III's, 565EX and 565EXII's with XT, XSi, etc, all interchangeably just fine, even with a simple RF603 and YN622 as well. All of it works as it should.

Very best,
