Hi George. I'm not sure what you're specifically asking, so here's a general answer. Let me know if you want any additional information.

I went out to try my luck at capturing a meteor or two during the Quadrantids Meteor Shower. To do so, I got my composition setup, took a dozen or so foreground shots and setup my camera to shoot 30 second exposures. I locked the remote down and went to sleep. It was pretty cold that night so I only got about 2.5 hours of shots before my battery went out, and much to my disappointment no meteors. However, I did have a good supply of shots to stitch together to make this star trail shot. I used Waguila_StarTrail_Stac​ker to help me stitch the shots together, but I could have done it manually by changing the opacity of each shot.
