Just picked up the Canon 50mm f/1.0L I love this lens and can't wait to use it on some paid portrait and wedding shoots.

Very nice images.
The DoF on that beast at f1 is minimal, so be sure to nail the focus point you want.


Tons of enthusiasm, loads of kit, limited skill...

Thanks and absolutely! I've found that focusing and pushing the shutter all in one motion works the best.

Good Job - I have so much trouble getting focus on my 1.2...can't imagine how hard it would be with a 1.0
