I took a few days off to run up and shoot some of the puffins, razor bills and murres

Thanks. At Machias Island, you are a bit limited in that you have to shoot from a designated hide. After a while, one gets a handle on where the birds are flying in from and then it's a matter of being patient and hoping the autofocus works.

Awesome, love them! Trying to find someone from here to go with me. Tried 2 summers ago and got fogged out, the boat never left the dock. What date were you there?

Superb captures.

I tired Puffins in-flight on Skomer, although they are dumpy little fliers I found them very hard because they come in low and the terrain kept getting grabbed on the 7DI; recon the 7DII would help a lot.
