I took a few days off to run up and shoot some of the puffins, razor bills and murres

a few more: A razor bill and a common mure

Thanks. At Machias Island, you are a bit limited in that you have to shoot from a designated hide. After a while, one gets a handle on where the birds are flying in from and then it's a matter of being patient and hoping the autofocus works.

Sweet shots. Its amazing how many fish they can cram into those short bills.

Awesome, love them! Trying to find someone from here to go with me. Tried 2 summers ago and got fogged out, the boat never left the dock. What date were you there?

I tired Puffins in-flight on Skomer, although they are dumpy little fliers I found them very hard because they come in low and the terrain kept getting grabbed on the 7DI; recon the 7DII would help a lot.

Great series Buddy. My wife & I were there last week on a very foggy day but had a blast. Hopefully we'll have some frames half as good as yours!

I was in some serious fog also. I guess that's par on the coast up there. I hope you will share a few of your shots.
