I don't own a gun of any kind, but if I see a drone over my yard I'll start throwing stones and sticks and get the hose ready, that's for sure. My yard and house is nobody's business. And if it should be a repeat offender, I'll buy an air rifle with a scope. And some photographer pointing their lens at my yard repeatedly will get the hose as well if it doesn't 'smell' right to me. Sorry, didn't see you there

Sooo..... If you next door neighbor is out in his backyard, looking into your backyard, it is OK to throw sticks and stones at him, spray him with your hose? What if he is just offering your son $50 to mow his lawn? Intent is irrelevant?
Sorry, but your yard, if I can see into it from mine, is perfectly legal for me to look into, regardless of what you are doing with whom, whether I do it from leaning on the fence talking to your son, or from a drone at 300 feet. The SCOTUS has repeatedly ruled that we (Americans) have no expectation of privacy while we are voluntarily exposing ourselves to others. Why do you think it is legal for you to photograph the goings on at a high-school football game? That applies as much to your yard as it does the local grocery store or school athletic field.
