I have this lens from my late father and from what I gather it's not possible to make it work with the Nikon F mount? But possible with the Canon EOS mount?

There are people who adapt them but they require heavy modification and removal of the rear mount and it only applies to certain MD lenses, not all will work. - Alex Corona Sony A7, Canon 7DM2/EOS M, Mamiya 645/67

Manual focus and stop-down metering only of course.
