Nothing to write home to Mother about, but I had fun! Have at it...I love feedback to help me improve.

He landed above my head in a Maple Tree. Trying to point the camera and tripod straight up, and getting myself down low enough to look in the viewfinder and focus...very challenging, but I got a ton of shots!

Thank you Frank. Maybe I have some worthy of sharing that have not been processed yet.

Thanks Dave! He kept hovering right in front of my lens, usually too close to focus! I was in the open, just a few feet from the flowers.

Sandy, beatiful! Don't ever by shy about posting images like these. Think I'm partial to #1- wood adds a nice texture and maybe anchors the shot. Very well done, girl.

There will be days when you get the shot(s) you missed days, months or years before.

Thanks Rog! Do doubt, it is hard for me to share less than perfect Hummingbird shots with all the great ones on here. I will post more soon. I planted the Bee Balm last year and it took off like crazy! Never have to wait more than a few minutes for a bird to return, and they are not nervous around me...bonus! I like the old fence post too, though some of them look pretty ratty!

Thanks Ted. I have only tried a couple of times this year. Either I'm too busy, or it's raining, it's too hot, it's too buggy...plenty of excuses!

Great series, Sandy. Looking forward to more.

I had one hover in front of me like that once. She came in twice, both times too close to focus my 400mm. The I realized, I was wearing a red shirt - it must have been attracting her.

All I want is just a little more than I'll ever have.

Thanks Phil. I did share another Hummingbird thread after this one. I was using the 70-200 and they were often too close to focus when they hovered in front of the lens. I was wearing blue!
