Bought this back in 2010 for my T1i then, it's served me well so many times and so many situations.

Here's a drag-the-shutter and then flash to freeze the subject, my youngest son back in Aug-2010.
I was just learning and playing with it to get this shot.

It did have remote triggering via Canon's optical remote control system.

Still a nice unit in this time. I bought a LN one sometime in '21 to accompany the first 580EX which has been a work horse. The optical triggering works well. That said I use RF receivers on mine these days.
