I don't think I have seen or photographed one of these before, brilliant color in the morning sun. I was close, 10', about MFD for my lens. These are cropped about 50%.

im so confused..there's 2 butterfly threads going!! Maybe a cross post?!?!

Anyway...butterfly numbers seem really down from last year this time. I have had very few in my wildflowers. Finally had a couple monarchs and a female dark eastern tiger swallowtail
