The Cabbage White Butterfly is probably the most common butterfly found in Sydney after it was accidentally introduced into Australia. It was first recorded in Melbourne in 1929 and had made it to Sydney by 1941.

Another feral. Good photo though.

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

And yes. It devastates crops. The grubs, as we called the lavae, quickly wreck any young brassica if left.

I found this humorous but to the point description

In my youthful (but destructive) days, I am a silky, blue-green colour… very attractive, if I say so myself!

Hobbies: I love laying eggs all over your plants and watching my beautiful larvae destroy your garden!

Likes: Cabbages, broccoli, brussels sprouts, chinese cabbages, cauliflower, celery, beetroot, rocket and watercress.

Not too sure, but I think this is a common-crow butterfly. There were heaps of them around that day I took this in Darwin, Australia

An Orange-Lacewing butterfly. I love the pop of orange colour these butterflies have.
