Permanent banI don't know how it works going IN to Canada, but I've purchased 3 lenses from private persons in Canada (I live in US). Canada to US is easy, and apparently without duty. I don't know about the other way around. WARNING: I often dispense advice in fields I know little about!

Aug 04, 2015 23:12 | #6 Driving across the border and buying/selling a lens would be no problem. That is, if either the buyer or seller are close to the border and willing to cross. 5D4 | 8-15L | 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS | 24L II | 40mm pancake | 100L IS | 70-200mm f/2.8L IS mk2 | 400mm f/4 DO IS

Permanent banI don't know if this furthers the conversation or not. I have purchased 3 different lenses from 3 different Canadian private sellers. All three were shipped via Canada Post, with the item properly identified on the Customs Label. I got all 3 of them without incident, duties or any taxes due. Seems to me that IF we have a trade agreement, that should work both ways. I have never shipped anything TO Canada. WARNING: I often dispense advice in fields I know little about!
