Hey guys,

Ive been really eyeing at jumping the Canon SLRs bandwagon and going mirrorless. So I have a mountain of gear I will want to get rid of. So this post will be to gauge interest on what my lens will go for. Ideally I will want to be able to sell everything in a package, but unfortunately that will probably not be realistic. So here's a list of the items for sale. Please let me know what you will pay for them.

All items are in MINT condition.

If I sell for a package price, I could do the below. Otherwise i would probably charge more since it's more overhead.

Body: 5D Mark III - $2000
Glass: 50mm f/1.8 - $80
35mm f/1.4L USM - $900
17-40 f/4.0L USM - $400
24-70 f/2.8L II USM - $1600
70-200 f/2.8L II IS USM - $1700
85mm f/1.2L II USM - $1500
100mm f/2.8L IS USM - $700
Flashes
430 EX II $150
600EX $300

Here's a few images. please let me know if you want more.

What are you looking for, price wise, for everything shipped? Do you have boxes, etc? What are the date codes of all of your lenses? Is the 85L the mark 2 or the mark 1?

You can go through and search for each piece of gear and get a feel for what they sell for here, how often they hit, what demand is like based on how fast they sell, comments, etc.

Are you running an auction in this thread? You need to put FA (for auction) in title if so. If it's a FS (for sale) thread, where are the prices?

I'll get the date codes and all the relevant info tonight if I can. Yes I have most of the boxes. And I took very good care of the lenses, ALWAYS had protectors on them. All the lenses listed are the latest revision. 85 II, 70-200II etc. I'm actually not sure the exact price I want. I guess it's such a big collection for me that it would be very time consuming to sell it individually which is why i started this thread to see what kind of offers I would get. I suppose I would be looking for something like 10% whatever lenses are selling for now?

I don't know about here on POTN, but stuff listed on E-Bay as 'make offer' (or a nutty-high price and OBO) usually just sits. Folks on E-bay will regularly bid auction items above the level 'make offers' are priced at. Weird. I think you may do better listing items individually, with prices. Good luck with your sale.

OP asked what what we would pay for them. It's not a feeler, it's a genuine offer. If the mods wish I will delete the post.

OP, it's not such a big collection you can't easily research prices here and using eBay's completed auction (sold) listings. Here are some general ballpark prices on these items based on my experience as a buyer and seller, all +/- 10% or so:

5D Mark III -- $1,800
50mm f/1.8 -- $75
35mm f/1.4L -- $850
17-40 f/4.0L -- $425
24-70 f/2.8L II -- $1,450
70-200 f/2.8L II IS -- $1,650
85mm f/1.2L II -- $1,600
100mm f/2.8L IS -- not sure
430 EX II -- $165
600EX -- $375

You're not likely to sell as a kit unless you discount the prices heavily as the buyer will likely need to offload some of the gear. I'd recommend listing individually and offering a discount if multiple items are purchased. FYI, my advice is offered without any hidden agenda--I have no interest in any of the above as I have all the items minus the 100mm and 430EX. GLWS.

^^^ very smart suggestion. I would sell individually if I was you :)
I would happily put $500 on the 100mm f/2.8L II IS

I would likely bid on the 70-200 ii, but I'd max out around $1,000. Depends on a users need. I don't need it, but if a seller were at the point of, "I'll take what I can get cause I need to move it...", $1,000 would be what I'm willing to spend.

I know you stated this thread is just a feeler, and not sure you're ready to move to mirrorless, but, when you're ready, bidding has its risks, but the rewards can be greater. Just put a reserve price the first time around. If it doesn't sell, take the reserve off and try again.
