These look a little over exposed to my eye. The shadow side of the car seems to be the exposure that should be on the highlight side.

Id also suggest putting a CPL on your lens because that would have helped cut down on glare and reflections.

Thanks for your comments guys.

About £65000, about $100,000. It was a limited edition with just 81 made worldwide.

I've used a polariser but tend to find it can totally wipe out any shine on the bonnet (hood) makes it look matt.

Unfortunately I haven't got time to take two shots, with and without CPR as these are shots for a website. I'm working on getting extra time ;-)a

Here's a couple more.

No doubt that you don't want to get rid of every reflection but a CPL cant get rid of all of them and especially not on a black car. I usually only make it so it affects the biggest glare areas of the car which usually is the hood/windshield. If you had used one, the paint wouldn't have looked matte.

Beautiful car and images. $100K is almost affordable, in that Lotus type of world!

Interesting comments on negative aspect of CPL. I hadn't thought of it in that exact way (matte). Subconsciously though, I tend to like making the windshield or store windows dark more than anything else.

Here is the shot where I used a CPL. As you can see the bonnet (hood) is totally matt, compared to the lovely shiney side of the car.

If harsh reflections float you boat I guess. I would never have thought the car looked "matte"
